On the night of September 21-22, Fridley experienced an extreme rainfall event. Rainfall of between 5” and 11” were reported overnight. The rainfall was more intense toward the north city limits, but was severe citywide. In much of Fridley, the storm exceeded the design capacity of drainage systems, resulting in flash flooding.
Unfortunately, numerous properties in Fridley sustained damage due to flooding. We want to understand whether your property was impacted, and if so, to what extent. This will help to assess area drainage systems, and evaluate where improvements may be needed. We have created a survey that has been mailed out to properties in the hardest hit areas. We're asking this to be filled out and returned by October 14th to help us better understand the impact of this storm.
If you prefer, we have options for an online version of this survey. There are three separate links for residential properties, commercial properties and apartment/rental properties. The links are found below. We thank you for your feedback. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact the Public Works Department at 763-572-3566.
