Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballot voting begins 45 days before each election to allow eligible voters to vote prior to election day.  Absentee ballot voting may be done in person or through the mail. The first step of the process is to complete an absentee ballot application. This may be done electronically or on paper.  
 
By Mail:
You may register online at mnvotes.org. and your ballot will be mailed to you from Anoka County Elections.

You may download a copy of the absentee ballot application and return it to Anoka County by one of the following methods:  
   E-mail: Elections@co.anoka.mn.us;
   Fax: (763) 422-7526; 
   Address: 325 E Main Street, Suite W130, Anoka, MN  55303. 

Once they have received and processed your application, you will receive your ballot in the mail. 

In Person:
If you would like to vote in person, you can download the application above and bring it with you to the Fridley City Hall at 6431 University Avenue NE, Fridley, MN.; Or you may complete an application when you come to City Hall.

In Person Voting Hours for the 2016 General Election:
    September 23 - November 4 - Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm 
    Saturday, November 5th from 10 am to 3 pm
    Monday, November 7th from 8 am to 5 pm

Once you have voted, the city will secure your ballot until it is time to be processed . 

After you have voted in person or by mail, you may look-up the status of your absentee ballot here. It will show information on when your ballot was received and whether it was accepted or rejected.
