2008 49er Days Royalty

The City contributes to the festival by providing important and needed services from a variety of departments (which we are very thankful for), but DOES NOT contribute financially as many think. With the fireworks, the festival costs approximately $20,000 to put on, and in these economic times, donations are far and few between.

To provide the quality festival that the citizens of Fridley are used to, the Fridley ‘49er Days Festival committee members are working diligently to solicit donations.

The Lions Club has agreed to host the parade again this year, but '49er Days Festival, Inc. still owes debt from the 2008 event.

Help us put on the 2009 event!

If everyone who usually attends would donate $2 (per household), it might pay for another outstanding festival. The committee members have placed donation boxes at local businesses, and also invite those who enjoy the festival, and would like it to continue, to donate to "'49er Days Festival, Inc." Checks can be sent to Fridley ‘49er Days, 6431 University Avenue NE, Fridley, MN 55432.
