We'd like to invite you to our two-day festival, Fridley '49er Days, to carry out our family-friendly community tradition of celebrating the year Fridley was incorporated as a city!
'49er Days Parade - June 14, 2018
Join us for the annual Fridley Lions '49er Day Parade on Thursday, June 14.
The parade is held RAIN or SHINE. Line up time is 5:00 p.m. - Start time is 6:30 p.m.
Starts and ends in the area near 61st Ave and 7th St.
North down 7th Street
East down Mississippi St
South down Able St
*Due to construction, the parade will not be going west on 61st Avenue this year.
'49er Days Festival - June 16, 2018
All day (noon - 10 p.m.) - Food concessions, beer and wine sales Noon - 3 p.m. - Kids activities Noon - 5 p.m. - Inflatables, lasertag, kids DJ, petting zoo, police department dunk tank 3:30-4:15 p.m. - Magician 5-6 p.m. - Dixie Kats Band 6-11 p.m. - Fridley High School All-School Reunion 6 - 10 p.m. - Jonah and the Whales* Dusk - Fireworks
*After 6 p.m., attendees will need a festival button, which can be purchased for $3, for admission to see Jonah and the Whales. There is no admission price to see the fireworks show.
Manomin on the Mississippi Tour
Don't just read about Fridley history - experience it! Step aboard our comfortable coach bus and be transported back in time. Encounter costumed characters from the 1850s and visit historic landmarks during this narrated tour of an area that was 170 years ago known as Manomin (now Fridley).
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at Commons Park to continue celebrating '49er Days at our festival!
