Mississippi River Regional Trail Closure Until Spring 2017


Beginning in October, construction will begin on the Mississippi River Regional Trail in the area just south of Locke Lake, along the west side of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railway. The trail will be closed until next spring.

Residents Rewarded for Clearing Hydrants!

Fridley residents get rewarded for keeping their hydrant clear of snow!
Two Fridley residents were rewarded with gift cards, insulated coffee cups and a new snow shovel for keeping the hydrant on their block cleared of snow in December!!

Thank you to all the residents who clear the hydrants in their neighborhood.

A special Thank You to our local community supporters Home Depot, Cub Foods and Caribou Coffee for donating the reward items.

Winter Parking Restrictions Now in Effect

Get Ready for Winter! Between November 1 - April 1 there is no parking on city streets from 2:00 am - 6:00 am, and no parking anytime snow/ice removal is in progress.

Fridley does not declare snow emergencies. By keeping the same rules in effect throughout the winter months, it makes it easier for everyone to remember and ensures that we get the roads clear as efficiently as possible. Thank you for helping us out.Read on...

Introducing the NEW Police Explorers Program!

Fridley Police are launching an exciting program for young adults, ages 14 to 18, to explore law enforcement careers and gain invaluable skills and experience. Explorers are trained alongside active Officers and compete at a state competition!

The explorer program is the co-ed young adult division of learning for life that provides young adults, ages 14-18, with experiences, guidance, skills and opportunities to explore their career aspirations and lifetime interests.

Northstar TOD Master Plan

Our goal is to create a community where people can work, live and play all in their own neighborhood. This plan guides future redevelopment to complete necessary pedestrian/cycling connections to transit in the area including buses and the commuter train.
