Fridley prides itself on having one of the most comprehensive solid waste and recycling programs around. Fridley residents have consistently had a very high level of satisfaction with this service. The City of Fridley coordinates recycling service, but not garbage, for residents. Drop-off DaysThe City of Fridley coordinates two recycling Drop-off Days per year to give its residents an opportunity to recycle large, bulky items in an environmentally friendly manor. Read more... Contact a licensed garbage hauler to set up service. Recycling ServiceEvery resident of Fridley has the opportunity to recycle cans, bottles, paper and cardboard - no matter what type of housing you live in - according to city code. The type of recycling service and frequency of collection that you have at your home varies depending on where you live. For all residences, your collection day will be delayed by one day if it falls on or after one these holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Single Family, Duplex, Triples, Fourplex, Most TownhomesPlease sort recyclables into two categories: containers and paper products.
Recycling is collected weekly. To determine your recycling day, click the image to the right for a map of the daily recycling districts. The City provides one blue recycling box to each home at no charge. Need a recycling bin? Call Allied Waste, our recycling hauler, at 763-784-2104. They will deliver a bin to your home within 3-5 business days. Apartment Buildings With 5-12 UnitsRecycling is collected every other week at apartment buildings. To determine your recycling day, click the image to abovefor a map of the recycling districts. A blue recycling cart or blue bin should be made available by the building management in the common area.
