Child Abuse
Child abuse is the mistreatment of a child by his or her parent or guardian. Child abuse is violence that may be physical, emotional, sexual or economic. Neglect involves failure to provide food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and appropriate supervision. If you suspect that a child you know is the victim of abuse or neglect, help is available by contacting the Fridley Police Department, by calling Anoka County Social Services or through school personnel.

The Anoka County Social Services offices are open 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and may be reached by calling 763-422-7125. After hours complaints in Anoka County may be made by calling 9-1-1.
