About Fridley Liquor Stores

The City of Fridley operates two municipal liquor stores that are managed under the Finance Department. Kyle Birkholz is the Liquor Operations Manager. There are approximately 4 full-time and 14 part-time employees.

Mission Statement

To responsibly distribute alcoholic beverages at retail locations, consistently provide exceptional customer service and maximize profits in order to lower the property tax burden of the citizens and business within Fridley.

Division Focus

The Fridley Municipal Liquor Operation was established in 1949. The operations consist of two retail locations with annual gross revenue sales exceeding 5 million dollars. Approximately $500,000 is allocated back to the City of Fridley's general fund in order to alleviate the property tax burden on its citizens and business's.
