Our MissionTo provide safe, leisure and educational opportunities for all ages through programs, facilities, open spaces, and services responding to the needs of the residents and enhancing the quality of life in our community.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERINGThe City of Fridley has established a Participant Code of Conduct that all participants are expected to follow. In addition, it is expected that children will be picked up at the advertised ending time of a program. A late fee will be charged to cover the cost of staff that remain with your child.

Park MaintenanceThe Park Maintenance Division maintains 38 city parks totaling 316 acres of land, which include amenities such as baseball, football and soccer fields; softball diamonds; basketball and tennis courts; outdoor skating rinks; playground equipment; and picnic shelters. They also assist with the facility preparation for many of the outdoor youth and adult recreation activities. You can always count on the Parks & Recreation Department to do their very best to serve the recreation and leisure needs of the community. The Parks and Recreation Department also team up to plan and manage the City parks and recreation facilities for community use. Youth and adult athletic programs are the major users of park facilities. Springbrook Nature CenterSpringbrook Nature Center, Moore Lake Park & Beach and Community Park (softball complex) are three of our facilities that bring guests into our city throughout the state. Senior ProgramThe City's Senior Program was established to meet the leisure needs of older adults (ages 55+). The Senior Program is located at the Fridley Community Center located at 6085 7th Street N.E. Fee assistance is available for low-income families. See our Fee Assistance page for more information. |

The Parks and Recreation Department proudly offers a comprehensive year-round recreational activity program for residents of all ages. The department staff facilitates and initiates opportunities in recreation, leisure, enrichment and social pursuits. They also work in cooperation with community organizations, schools and agencies in an effort to facilitate a broad variety of recreational opportunities within the city.
