Submitting A Plan For ReviewCommercial Plans must be submitted for all commercial construction in the City of Fridley whether it is a new building, an addition to an existing building or just a remodel of an existing building. Four complete sets of building plans must be submitted to the Building Inspection Division prior to the issuance of any permits. These plans will be reviewed by the Building, Fire, Engineering, and Planning Departments. Anoka County Health Department approval is also needed on any food service alterations or occupancy. Site plan, landscape plans, and a performance bond must also be approved prior to issuance of a building permit for commercial projects.
Commercial Permit Requirements Residential Plans must also be submitted for all new residential construction in the City. Two complete sets of plans must be submitted to the Building Inspection Division for all proposed detached or attached residential construction. The plans must include a typical wall section, foundation plan, lot survey or lot sketch, and floor plan.
