All license applications shall be submitted online using the CitizenServe portal. Once the application has been submitted, you will be directed to the payment page.
Each license is subject for review before it may be issued. Payments must be made before the review process may begin.

Dangerous Dog License

Keeping of Bees License
General Bee Keeping Information
- Maximum of 2 colonies per license
- Colony area must be located in backyard a minimum of thirty (30) feet from all adjacent property lines
- Colony shall comply with current zoning and building codes
- Each colony structure shall have at least two standard nine and five-eights (9 5/8) inch depth boxes, ten frame hive body with a maximum of five (5) boxes total, including supers
- Each colony shall be provided with a convenient source of water located within ten (10) feet from colony
- Honey may not be sold from any residential property

- A new license application is required to be filled out each year along with the renewal fee.
If any beekeeper no longer wants to renew a license, the bees and structures are required to be removed from the premises within six months of the effective date.

Keeping of Chickens License
General Chicken Keeping Information
- Residents on properties zoned R-1, Single Family Residential may be permitted to keep and raise chickens as a hobby with a license
- Maximum of six (6) chickens are allowed
- Roosters and loud clucking hens are prohibited
- Chickens shall be secured inside of a shelter from sunset to sunrise each day to prevent nuisance noise and attraction of predators
Coop and Run
- Coop and run area must be located in the backyard and must be located a minimum of thirty (30) feet from all adjacent property lines
- Coop and covered run shall be limited to no more than sixty (60) square feet and maximum height of six (6) feet
- Coop size shall not be less than three (3) square feet per bird, be weather proof and fully enclosed
- The coop shall comply with current zoning and building codes. The coop shall be constructed architecturally appropriate building materials including exterior grade siding and either a metal, composite or shingled roof. In the alternative, coop may be purchased from a commercial source that constructs structures specifically to be used as coops for chickens
- The run shall have a fence around the enclosure and shall be securely constructed with mesh type material
- The run shall have protective overhead netting or fencing to prevent chickens from roaming freely and to protect them from other animals

If the keeping of chickens has been discontinued for more than 12 months, the licensee must remove the coop and run and restore the site within five (5) business days.

Note: if you are moving into Fridley and would like your dog tag mailed to a different address, please provide your current address within your contact information. The license application must be applied under the new (Fridley) address you are moving to.

Livestock License
General Information
Any person keeping, raising, feeding or caring for horses, cattle, goats, sheep or swine shall provide no less than one (1) acre of open, unused land for each animal.

Multiple Pet License
General License Information
A Lifetime dog license is required for all dogs over the age of 6 months. Please apply for each lifetime dog license prior to applying for the multiple pet license, if you haven't done so already. You will be required to provide the tag number for each dog.

Approval Process
Once the application has been submitted with all of the required documents and payment has been made, the approval process may begin. It may take up to 3 weeks (15 business days).
This license is subject to two (2) inspections by the Fire Marshall. The first inspection will be done during the approval process. The second inspection will be completed after event date and before January 5th of the year following, to ensure the site has been properly cleaned and cleared. Once the second inspection has passed the deposit of $100 shall be returned to the applicant (please allow up to 30 business days for the refund to be process).

Parade License
Guidelines
- Once parade route has been approved, please provide detailed traffic control plan with application showing the location and type of traffic control signs.
- Authorized traffic control agents or police personnel must be provided at all intersections requiring traffic control.
- Barricades, signs and delineation equipment must be installed and removed as directed by either the Public Works or Police Department. The City does not rent equipment. There are a number of local private firms which do rent the equipment.
- Volunteers must be provided to monitor barricades at all intersections not requiring traffic control personnel.
- Residents and property owners abutting the event route must be notified by leaflet at least 48 hours before the event

Chapter 205 Zoning Section 205.13.01 Uses Permitted
Application Requirements

- Make, Model, Year and License number is required for each vehicle
- Applicant registered with Minnesota Department of Agriculture Tree Registry?
- If no, explain why.
- Contact information of where logs and brush from the city's trees you have worked have been disposed of
- ISA certified arborist on staff?
- If no, explain why.
- Certified tree inspector on staff?
- if no, explain why.
- Chemical pesticide licensed staff member?
- If no, explain why.
