To apply for a permit, please visit our online portal via CitizenServe. The portal will bring you to a lot in page. A few things to note: 

• If you have not applied for a permit online, select ‘Register Now’ (you will need a valid email address – this is how we will contact you).

• If you already have an account with CitizenServe, then please log in using your credentials.

Permit Type 

Permits are required to construct, add onto, alter, remove, demolish, or repair for most residential and commercial projects, including, but not limited to:

  • Accessory Structures (Garage, Shed (over 200 square feet))
  • Additions
  • Basement Finish
  • Decks/porches
  • Demolition
  • Door (new), Garage Service Door (new/replacement) or altering an existing opening
  • Egress Window
  • Electrical
  • Mechanical/HVAC
  • New Construction
  • Plumbing
  • Remodeling
  • Re-roof
  • Re-siding
  • Swimming Pool
  • Window Replacement

Other Types of Permits

There are separate permits for fire systems and changes done to the City Right of Way. Please visit the Fire Permits or Engineering page to view those permit applications. 

Fees

Permit fees vary according to the value of construction. Building permit fees will vary for other structures such as signs, tents and manufactured homes. Other types of permits issued include sewer & water, moving, wrecking, load limits, construction water, tapping and street patch.
