[ARCHIVED] Innsbruck Area Crime Alert

Fridley Police

On the evening of August 17, Fridley Officers responded to the 1400 block of Innsbruck Drive. A male victim reported he was walking west from New Brighton on Innsbruck Drive, when he was grabbed from behind and placed in a choke hold.

While doing so, the suspect took money and a cell phone from the victim's pockets. The victim was physically assaulted in the process. The suspect fled east bound back towards New Brighton.

If you witness something or someone suspicious, please dial 9-1-1 immediately and ask that an officer investigate.

The police department would like to remind everyone to be street wise and stay safe. Be alert. Walk with friends and neighbors whenever possible and especially at dusk.
