Notice of Public Hearing to Consider a Special Use Permit by Happy Tails Rescue Foundation 

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the City of Fridley will hold a public hearing on March 17, 2021 at 7:00 pm via telephone or other electronic means.

Consideration of a Special Use Permit, SP #21-02, by Happy Tails Rescue Foundation, if new language allowing an Animal Rescue Facility is added to the M-1, Light Industrial zoning district section of the Fridley City Code. The petitioner is seeking a special use permit to allow a pet rescue center at the property located at 7331 Baker Street NE, the legal description is on file and available at Fridley City Hall.

The City Council will consider this item on April 12, 2021.

Mayoral Declaration No. 20-01 and Ordinance No. 1380 have declared that a local emergency is in effect in the City of Fridley. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 13D.021 this meeting will be held by telephone or other electronic means. In accordance with the recommendation of Executive Orders 21-01, which recommend remote meetings whenever possible, the March 17, 2021 Planning Commission meeting will be held via interactive webinar. 

Public Comment Before a Meeting

If you have public comments to submit before a meeting, please send your comments to stacy.stromberg@fridleymn.gov or contact 763–572–3595. Public comments will be received up until noon on the day of the meeting. Comments will be compiled and delivered to the Planning Commission.
