Mayoral Proclamation and Declaration of a Local Emergency

Pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 12.29, Mayor Scott Lund hereby proclaims and declares a local emergency, effective as of 5:00 p.m. on April 13, 2021 in the City of Fridley, Minnesota. To protect public safety and welfare, a City-wide curfew for all persons within the City of Fridley shall begin at 10:00 p.m. on April 13, 2021 and continue until 6:00 a.m. on April 14, 2021. During such curfew, travel shall be prohibited by all persons upon any public streets or in any public place. All law enforcement, fire and medical personnel, and any credentialed members of the media, as well as other persons authorized by the City Manager, or their designee, are exempt from this curfew. Individuals traveling directly to and from work or religious services, seeking medical care, fleeing dangerous circumstances, or experiencing homelessness are also exempt.
