City of Fridley Notice of Hearing on 2021 Street Rehabilitation Project No. ST 2021-01

Whereas, the City Council of the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota has deemed it expedient to receive evidence pertaining to the improvements hereinafter described.

Now, therefore, notice is hereby given that on December 13, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. the City Council will meet at the Fridley Civic Campus Council Chambers, 7071 University Avenue, N.E., Fridley, MN and will at said time and place hear all parties interested in said improvements in whole or in part.

The general nature of the improvements is the construction (in the lands and streets noted below) of the following improvements, to-wit. Street and utility improvements, including milling, bituminous asphalt overlay, pavement reclamation, water main, and utility repairs including the street segments as follows:

59th Avenue from West Moore Lake Drive to Monroe Street;

Marigold Terrace from West Moore Lake Drive to Monroe Street;

Monroe Street from 59th Avenue to 57th Avenue;

58th Avenue from West Moore Lake Drive to Madison Street;

Madison Street from 58th Avenue to 57th Avenue;

Quincy Street from 58th Avenue to Carrie Lane;

Helene Place from Quincy Street to Madison Street;

Jackson Street from 58th Avenue to Carrie Lane;

Carrie Lane from Jackson Street to Quincy Street;

57th Avenue from Quincy Street to 7th Street;

Washington Street from 57th Place to 58th Avenue; and

59th Avenue from Jefferson Street to 7th Street

All of said land and parcels abutting the list of street segments above are to be assessed proportionately according to the benefits received by such improvement. The City Engineer has estimated the project cost to be $937,500. A tabulation of costs is available at the City’s Engineering Office. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment for each property will be available at the hearing. The City Engineer will be present to describe the physical and financial impact of the proposed project as described in the project feasibility report and proposed plans and specifications.
