There will also be a special public reception with the Fridley City Council that evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Springbrook Nature Center.
The SPRING project (Sanctuary Protection and Renewal Into the Next Generation) will expand and improve Springbrook Nature Center's indoor and outdoor spaces to 1) build new visitor amenities and facilities to accommodate and keep pace with visitor demands, 20 enhance environmental education and youth development opportunities, and 3) protect and preserve the area wildlife habitats for future generations.
After securing $5 million in state bonding funds in 2014, a total of 85% of the campaign goal of $7.6 million has been raised for the SPRING project, thanks to gifts and pledges from businesses and individuals in the community. Construction plans will include new named spaces honoring contributors.
