Over the next 2 weeks, work will begin on the 1-mile section of aging and deteriorating regional sanitary sewer that serves Fridley, New Brighton and Mounds View. Residents and businesses expecting temporary disruption will be notified directly.
Upcoming work over the next 2 weeks:
1. We’ll start setting up temporary pipes to divert the wastewater while we work. Most temporary pipes will be installed above ground, and some will be buried to minimize disruption at major intersections and for driveway access.
2. Minor tree and brush removal will take place along Stinson Blvd. and within Medtronic’s property. A tree removal replacement plan has been coordinated with city
officials.
3. A dewatering well will be installed near the intersection of Stinson Blvd. and County Road H. No road closures are anticipated for this work.
Residents and businesses requiring temporary driveway or road access disruption to bury temporary pipes will be notified a few days in advance of work. You can sign up for email or text updates on this project through the MCES website listed below.
