The Metropolitan Council Environment Services continue work on the Fridley/Tri City Sewer Improvements covering an approximate 1-mile section of aging and deteriorating sanitary sewer serving Fridley, New Brighton & Mounds View. Upcoming work includes:
• Pit excavation work will continue in Fridley near 69th Ave. near Shamrock Ln. with meter demolition currently taking place at the excavation in New Brighton near Stinson Blvd. and Spring Creek Dr.
• The temporary wastewater conveyance system is operational and is expected to be in use through the first week of April while the pipe rehabilitation work takes place. Pump attendants will be on site monitoring the system 24 hours a day. Noise levels near the pumping locations and along the conveyance pipes will be monitored to ensure compliance with city/regulatory agency requirements.
• Sewer lining work has been completed in Mounds View near Pleasant View Dr. Lining work will continue in Fridley near the intersection of 69th Ave. and Shamrock Ln. Lining equipment will need to run continuously (24 hours a day) for the next four days and may produce some noise for surrounding residents.
