Fridley Police Explorers, ages 14 to 18, explore law enforcement careers and gain invaluable skills and experience. Explorers are trained alongside active Officers and compete at a state competition.
The explorer program is the co-ed young adult division of learning for life that provides young adults, ages 14-18, with experiences, guidance, skills and opportunities to explore their career aspirations and lifetime interests. The mission of Fridley Police Explorer program is to introduce young adults to the field of law enforcement and instill core values such as honor, duty, sacrifice and valor. Explorers will be taught a variety of skills and trained to deal with various scenarios relating to law enforcement. We are currently seeking ambitious youth from within the community who are possibly interested in a career in the public safety field! An informational meeting will be held later this summer at the Fridley Police Department. Please spread this with your friends and family who have children within the community! If you are interested or know anyone who is interested in joining the program please contact: Email: Shawn.Murphy@fridleymn.gov Phone: 763-238-7805
