[ARCHIVED] Water Wed. @ Mississippi Watershed Mgmt. Low-Salt Diet for your

Fridley is part of MWMO and their mini-classes for homeowners, property owners and maintenance companies are great!

Wednesday, Dec. 14 — 6:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.

Pollution-free winter maintenance is a learned skill. Get tips for keeping your sidewalks and driveways snow and ice-free this winter while minimizing the use of harmful salt and deicers that pollute our waterbodies.  Salt is damaging to trees and pets and is often over applied or used when it is not effective. Learn ways to save money while protecting the environment. The in-house expert at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, Udai Singh, will cover how to choose the right deicers and when to apply them, how to choose between sand and salt, how much material to apply and how to avoid it altogether. Class is free.  Click here for more information. The MWMO building is located on the west side of East River Road, right across from the Ferris wheel at Betty Danger's restaurant.
