Police respond to reports of shots fired. No injuries or gunshot victims.
On April 6, 2017 at 10:03PM, Fridley Police dispatched to Island Park Dr. NE and Anna Ave NE for reports of people shooting at each other. The group was gone before officer arrival.

Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leaving the scene, and other subjects may have left on foot. Evidence at the scene suggested that multiple handgun rounds had been fired. No gunshot victims were located, and there was no evidence to suggest that anyone was struck. At least one stray bullet struck an apartment building in the 100 Block of Island Park Dr. NE. Officers made contact with residents inside and confirmed that nobody had been struck.

Officers utilized a K9, helicopter, and ATV to search the area for anyone who may be involved. The suspects were not located. The scene was processed for evidence by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab. Officers also received assistance from the MN State Patrol, Blaine Police Department, Coon Rapids Police Department, and Columbia Heights Police Department.
