[ARCHIVED] Gas Main Work for 2017 Street Project in North Park Neighborhood To Begin April 24

News

CenterPoint Energy will begin replacing gas main and gas services in the North Park neighborhood Monday, April 24th. Residents can expect gas main installation to take approximately two weeks with a second crew following to install the services from the main to your home. The gas service installation will also take about two weeks. Residents can anticipate some small, localized excavations in their yard near the back of curb where the service connects to the main. Following the service work, a restoration crew will restore excavated areas with topsoil and seed. CenterPoint Energy’s utility work will likely be complete by the end of May.

The gas utility work precedes the 2017 Street Rehabilitation Project. The Fridley street project will begin early June and will be constructed throughout the summer. The City will be sending notices soon with a project update, a tentative schedule and inquire on any special events you may have planned during construction. We encourage residents to coordinate any upcoming projects or events you have planned so we may accommodate you. The City of Fridley will provide updates on the street project page found on our website at http://www.ci.fridley.mn.us/976/2017-Street-Project
